The design

Valknut · Knot of Fate – the story behind it.

The Valknut – “knot of the slain” – consists of three interlocked triangles and is one of the most mysterious symbols of Norse tradition. It is regarded as a symbol of Odin and is linked to the passage into the afterlife. Its three triangles and nine corners are read both as a connection of the Nine Worlds and as the work of the powers of fate. In this women’s version, the Valknut stands for the knot of fate and connection: the interlocking of life, death and return, and the bond to your own path – depth instead of battlefield. The print places the knot clearly at the centre, framed by broad, sweeping V-shaped wings of fine Celtic-Norse interlace in calm silver-white on a dark ground. Every Valknut shirt is made from heavyweight cotton and printed on demand in Germany using direct-to-garment (DTG) printing, where the ink sinks into the fibre. The fitted women’s cut comes in multiple colours; Gold / Silver and Emerald are available as a limited special edition.
Frequently asked questions

Good to know.

What does the Valknut mean?

The Valknut – “knot of the slain” – is a sign of Odin made of three interlocked triangles. You can order directly here in our shop: choose colour and size, add to cart and pay securely via Mollie. Delivery to Germany in 3–5 working days, to Austria and France in 4–7 working days (Mon–Fri); statutory right of withdrawal: 14 days.

How does the women’s shirt fit?

The cut is fitted and flatters the figure without feeling tight. If you prefer a looser fit, just go one size up. You’ll find the exact measurements in the size chart on the product page.

What material is the shirt made of?

We use heavyweight cotton with a pleasant feel and OEKO-TEX® certification. The fabric feels firm and high-quality and keeps its shape after washing.

How do I care for the print?

Because the DTG print sits in the fibre, the design stays crisp for a long time. Wash the shirt inside out at 30 °C (86 °F) and don’t iron directly over the print – that way the Valknut lasts through many wears without cracking.

Which colours is the Valknut available in?

The design comes in multiple colours, plus Gold / Silver and Emerald as a limited special edition. You can order directly here in our shop: choose colour and size, add to cart and pay securely via Mollie. Delivery to Germany in 3–5 working days, to Austria and France in 4–7 working days (Mon–Fri); statutory right of withdrawal: 14 days.
